Perennial shrub to 6 feet tall with rigid, sword-like grey-green leaves with sharp brown spine at the tip.
After 7-10 years, flowers are borne on a tall, long spike that can reach 20 feet in height. While the sisal is very striking it does require respect and an ample amount of space so you do not become a human shish-kabob. Loves heat but not cold tolerant. Damage occurs at around 28 degrees. Below 23 degrees can be terminal for the plant.
